The 2011FGF Cannonbird Run is the only national rally and car show for First Generation Firebird ("FGF's", 1967, 1968 and 1969) owners and enthusiasts. A timeless embodiment of the American high performance muscle car, Firebirds have long been a favorite among savvy classic car buffs for their restoration projects, social cruises and driving excitement. Nationwide, Firebird enthusiasts continue to share the excitement through swapping technical advice and stories of fantastic driving experiences shared at the FGF Cannonbird Run.
Attendee Profile
The 3-day FGF Cannonbird Run is held in a different location each year. This year it will be held in the beautiful hill country of central Texas in historic Fredericksburg, located about halfway between Austin and San Antonio. We anticipate drawing from our membership 50 - 100 registered attendees from throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico who actively own, collect and restore First Generation Firebirds. We are also making contacts with other Pontiac and Firebird clubs and groups through the internet, mail and personal contacts. We hope to attract many additional attendees through this effort.
Our car show this year will be held at The Full Moon Inn. The well landscaped property is crowned by a grove of giant oak trees which will provide a back drop for the show setting. The owner of The Full Moon Inn is is a fellow car enthusiast and is inviting area car club members, friends, and families to join as spectators and judges for the show.
There will be food vendors on sight for the convenience and enjoyment of the participants and spectators. Assigned spots will be available for Sponsors that wish to set up in the area to show their products. There are several levels of Sponsorships available.
